Family Fishing Vacations

Lake Winnipesaukee, located in New Hampshire, spans 72 square miles and is a wonderful family fishing vacation destination. The lake boasts rainbow trout, lake trout, small and large mouth bass, and landlocked salmon.

The lake is near the town of Wolfeboro, a quaint New England town that is also a popular tourist destination. When not fishing, you can take the family to the Wright Museum in Wolfeboro.

Wolfeboro is an outdoor family’s paradise. Whether winter or summer, outdoor recreation in Wolfeboro draws enthusiasts all year long. The area features fishing, camping, golf, hiking, biking, and boating. In the winter, you can take advantage of skiing and snowmobiling.

Wolfeboro is full of cozy and quaint bed and breakfasts. You can take the kids and stay in a restored 1790 farmhouse aptly named “The Little Farm”. It has three guest bedrooms and features a full country breakfast. You can picnic on the grounds for lunch if you choose. “The Little Farm” is so peaceful, you’ll feel refreshed and ready for another adventurous day after a night there.

The room rates are more than reasonable, and children under ten are free. You can accommodate 1 or 2 children in each room with you so you’re not paying for more than 1 room unless you have more children.

There are boat docks at Lake Winnipesaukee for any size boat. You can rent motorboats, and go canoeing and kayaking as well. You’ll have no trouble getting the kids to sleep at night after a day on the area’s lakes.

Lake Wentworth is located in Wolfeboro and offers fishing and boating too. It borders Wentworth State Park, which offers boating, fishing, swimming and hiking. Your family will have the time of their lives on this family fishing vacation.
